Coming up this Saturday night at the legendary Tri-State Speedway is the $2,000 to win Enduro #2. These Enduro races last for 100 laps, two hours or until only one vehicle is moving, whichever comes first.
These are basically street vehicles that have been modified slightly by taking off exterior body molding, removing the glass, etc. No other modifications are allowed other than a roll cage (recommended), a driver "shield" in front of them and chaining/welding the doors shut. That is all there is to it!
There are no red flags or race stoppages during the event except in cases of an emergency, like fires or roll overs, or unless the track is blocked.
Want to make it even more fun? Some of these drivers will have passengers riding along with them in the front seat to help navigate the traffic!
Entry fees for this event are just $50 and your $30 pit pass for a chance at bringing home the winner's paycheck of $2,000! For more information, please click on the Enduro rules tab on our website. ALL ENDURO DRIVERS MUST REGISTER FOR FREE by clicking on the registration link below. On the car numbers, just enter any number as your number will be determined by your draw.

$2,000 to win Enduro #2!

Congratulations to two of our six track champions who punched their winning ticket this last Saturday night at Tri-State Speedway.

In the Pure Stocks, Chris Perkins (88 - Rudy, AR) finished second this past weekend, but was able to lock in the 2015 Pure Stock Track Championship. The Pure Stocks only have one point race left on the 26th of September and with a maximum point amount of 40 given for a win, Perkins cannot be caught. This season, Chris has won only twice so far, but they were both A Features and finished in the Top Ten 19 times and had 17 Top Five's for an average finish of fourth.

In the Super Stocks, Neil Johnson (17 - Fort Smith, AR) won his A Feature in dramatic fashion with a last lap, last turn, dash to the finish line. The Super Stocks only have one point race left on the 26th of September and with a maximum 40 points possible for the win, Johnston cannot be caught. This season, Neil won nine times so far, including this past weekend. He finished in the Top Ten 24 times with 18 Top Five's for an average finish of fourth.

Below are two file photos from their earlier wins this season. You can click on them to see them bigger.

Congrats again to Neil and Chris!

POCOLA, OK (September 12TH, 2015) –Mother Nature may have finally decided that it was time for summer to end as a packed house was greeted to temperatures in the lower 80’s at race time. Once again, Dan King and his track prep minions had a track that was ready to go at hot lap time and produced one of the best racing surfaces all season.

The night kicked off with the trophy presentations for the previous week’s A feature winners (from September 5TH, 2015) with interviews, by Michelle Walker, and photo taking on the pass through in front of the grandstands. There was also a special trophy presentation from Ray Raney to Bill Dillard. The trophy, that had survived a fire, was originally won by Bob Ballard in 1961 during a memorial race for Bill’s dad, “Big Bill” Dillard. This was followed with the invocation and the previous week’s winner’s parade lap presenting the nation’s colors during the National Anthem.

Heat racing action for the 89 cars on hand, including 30 late models from the MARS DIRTCar Series, presented by Andy’s Frozen Custard, and the Comp Cams Super Dirt Car Series, presented by Lucas Oil, got underway at 7:45 PM. A TSS Modified B feature, won by Kent Bright (74 – Sand Springs, OK) with Zane Hunter (3H – Alma, AR) and Brandon Hunter (1/4 – Alma, AR) in second and third respectively, was also held before intermission.

The “half-time” break gave everyone a chance to stretch their legs and get some of the concession food, including some of the soon-to-be world famous Menasco BBQ and an ice-cold Coca-Cola product to wash it all down with. Several race fans and kids were also the lucky recipients of track giveaways, including free T-Shirts and free tickets, during the intermission from Brian White.

The Pure Stock A Feature hit the track first and saw Andrew Bohanan (51 – Stigler, OK) take home back to back to back wins for his third Pure Stock win of 2015 while Chris Perkins (88 – Rudy, AR) came home in second ahead of JP Harris (00 – Bella Vista, AR). With only one point race left in the season for the Pure Stocks, Chris Perkins (88 – Rudy, AR) secured the 2015 track championship with his second place finish.

Rain has forced us to postpone the 7th Annual Tillman Evans Memorial Races presented by Coca-Cola, originally scheduled for tonight, August 22md, 2015, until a later date.

Althought the rain moved in and out faily quickly. too much liquid sunshine fell on the track and the surface could not be worked in in time for the evenings events.

Tri-State Speedway strives for a wide, smooth racing surface for our drivers and our fans. It would have not been fair to both of them to try and race tonight.

We appreciate everyone's support, in our 45th consecutive year of racing at Tri-State Speedway in 2015 and we look forward to seeing everyone on August 29th, 2015.

Tri-State Speedway would like to say "THANK YOU" to all of the fans and drivers who came out to support us during the 36th Annual Spooker. Without you, there is no us. This annual event continues to grow. What was just a two day event, not too so long ago, is now a four day event and is definitely an event to experience in the future if you get the chance.

We have a strong feeling that next year will be one of the best ever for the legendary track as it celebrates 46 consecutive years of racing in 2016.

On Saturday night, August 1st, 2015, Tri-State Speedway will be giving away FREE kid's backpacks with paid admission. The bakpacks will be given out to the first 50 school-aged children who are accompanied by their parent(s) and/or legal guardian(s) who are attending the races this weekend.

We want to help out our families, including the children, who come out and support us each weekend throughout the racing season. This will be our first year for this event and we look forward to doing it again each year going forward.

We want to give a big thanks to Menasco Racing Enterprises for providing the backpacks this weekend and for the free kid's bicycles that are given out each month during the bicycle races. Six bicycles have been given away so far this season with two more to be given away in August and and two more in September.

Racing continues this weekend with point racing in the Pure Stock, Factory/IMCA Stock, Super Stock, IMCA Sport Mod, IMCA Modified and TSS Modified classes. With the point racing season now past the half way point, the competition at the top of the classes is getting hot.

Pit gates open at 4 PM with the grandstands at 5 PM. Pre-race ceremonies are scheduled for 7:45 PM and with first green flag action at 8 PM. Adult grandstand admission is just $10, seniors (65+) are $8 and kids (6-12) are only $5. Pit passes are $30 for adults and $15 for kids (6-12).

We will see YOU this Saturday night!

POCOLA, OK (July 16th, 17th & 18th, 2015) –Once again the weather people were spot on with the forecast for the 17th Annual Super Stock Showdown presented by Shamrock Bolt & Screw Company. Temperatures were in the mid to high 90’s for all three days and zero rain, which is a lot better than what the track faced earlier in the season. Even with the heat of summer, the fans and drivers, all 85 of them, came out for a great three day event.

The event kicked off with open practice for any class and free grandstand admission on Thursday night and continued on Friday night with qualifying races and features for the Super Stocks with a full point show for the Pure Stocks and Factory/IMCA Stocks. With the added heat and sunshine of mid-summer, the start time change to 8 PM was beneficial as the sun was on its way down at that point which helped keep the moisture in the track longer and helped the fans get a little cooler quicker. Heat racing action got underway on Friday night at 8:20 PM and on Saturday night at 8:15 PM. Both nights, intermission was underway around 9:30 PM giving everyone a chance to stretch their legs and get some of the awesome concession stand food and eat some of the world famous Menasco BBQ.

Saturday night’s feature action started with two last change B Features for the Super Stocks. Tony Anglin (G1 – Walnut Ridge, AR) captured the first and Kent Bright (74 – Sand Springs, OK) took home the win in the second last chance B Feature.

In Saturday’s IMCA Sport Mod A Feature, Ken McCarty (1 – Rogers, AR) took home his fourth A Feature win of the season ahead of Logan Ellis (118) and Dalton Ragsdale (19S – Muskogee, OK) in second and third, respectively.

POCOLA, OK (July 11th, 2015) –The weather “gurus” got it right this weekend. This can be a good or bad thing depending on your outlook of things. They were correct in that there would be no rain on Saturday and that the temperatures were going to be in the mid 90’s. The bad part of their forecast was that the temps were in the mid 90’s.

The first order of business was to honor the last races (July 4th) A Feature winners with their trophies, interviews and photo taking on the pass through in front of the grandstands after the pre-race ceremonies of the invocation and the national anthem.

Heat racing action in all six classes got started a little late due to some extra track preparation and took the race fans to intermission at 9:10 PM. The intermission break gave everyone a chance to stretch their legs and get some of the awesome concession stand food along with the world famous Menasco BBQ.

The last few weekend’s start times have been pushed back a little due to the effects of the summer sunshine on the new clay at Tri-State Speedway. Going forward, or until further notice, we will be scheduling the pre-race ceremonies for 7:15 PM with the green flag to drop on heat racing action at 7:30 PM. Gate open times will remain the same with pit gates opening at 4 PM and grandstands at 5 PM.

The Factory/I Stock A Feature hit the track first with Shannon Cox (75 – Greenwood, AR) claiming his first win of the season ahead of Mike Wiseman (DT1 – Muskogee, OK), who finished in second for the second week in a row, and Chris Patterson (48 – Muldrow, OK) in third, after his roll over last weekend.

In the IMCA Sport Mod A Feature, Cody Rongey (71 – Booneville, AR) also took home his first A Feature win of the season ahead of previous feature winners, Aaron Scroggins (1/4 – Neosho, MO) and Ken McCarty (1 – Rogers, AR) in second and third, respectively.

The IMCA Modified A Feature hit the track next and saw Tae Cole (89 - Muskogee, OK) return to take home his fifth trophy of the season as Anthony Reeves (1ST – Mulberry, AR) finished in second and Kent Bright (3B – Sand Springs, OK) finished in third.

The Pure Stock A Feature saw Wesley Bourne (5 – Cameron, OK) on top as Chris Perkins (88 – Rudy, AR) crossed in second with Austin Farnam (38J – Fort Smith, AR) cracking the top three.

The TSS Modified A feature was up next with Andy Milliken (6M – Greenwood, AR) collecting his first win of the season ahead of the tough competition of Brent Holman (17 – Rogers, AR) and Jeremy Vaughn (8V – Pocola, OK) in second and third respectively.

In the Super Stock A Feature, in what he hopes is a preview of the upcoming $5,000 to win 17th Annual Super Stock Showdown, presented by Shamrock Bolt & Screw Company, Kyle Slader (19S – Muskogee, OK) took the win from a strong Dylan Davlin (26D – Shady Point, OK) in a side-by-side run to the checkered flag as Scooter Scruggs (43 – Hensley, AR) finished in a close third.

Complete race results, including heats, are available by clicking on the Results link. Current point standings are available by clicking on the Points link.
