BONUS MONEY! BONUS MONEY!

Tri-State Speedway promoter Dan King announced today that there will be a bonus program in 2016 that will be available for all IMCA classes.

The bonus program is between Tri-State Speedway and Outlaw Motor Speedway.

Here is how the bonus program will work:
If a driver wins the A Feature, in any of the three IMCA sanctioned class, at either track and then wins the following night, or week's, A Feature at the other track, that driver will earn a $150 bonus. So, if a driver wins the IMCA Modified A Feature at OMS on Friday night and then wins the IMCA Modified A Feature on Saturday night at TSS, that driver wilt pick up the $150 bonus. This bonus money is also available each week for the IMCA Sport Mods and the IMCA Stock Car classes. The bonus program also works the other direction, too. If an IMCA driver wins their A Feature on Saturday night at TSS and then follows up with another win in their A Feature, in the same class, on the next Friday at OMS, they get the $150 bonus, too!

Get your IMCA licenses and get your IMCA cars ready to go! The car shows, play days and the 37th Annual Cecil Harlan Memorial Kegger will be here before you know it!

2016 registration information will be available soon, at www.Tri-StateSpeedway.com.

A limited number of race sponsorships are available for the 2016 race season, which gets cranked up in mid-March.

There are plenty of races to pick choose from. There is everything from regular weekly races to special fundraising events to huge races that draw drivers and fans from multiple states to the famous high banked track in Pocola, OK.

Here are some of the things what you get with every race sponsorship at Tri-State Speedway:

  • Listings on our schedule that is published everywhere all season long
  • A banner displayed prominently on our website all season long that links to your website or social media page
  • Postings on all of our social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and Google+

The 2015 version promises to be one of, if not, the biggest racing events in this part of the country. New track owner, Carey Menasco, has upgraded the facilities this season with numerous enhancements, including new concession stands in the pits as well as on the grandstand side. Over the years, this event has become a destination for drivers and fans alike with many scheduling their vacations for this event and even camping out at the track. When this year’s event is through, will you be able to say that you raced in, or attended, the 36th Annual Spooker at Tri-State Speedway?
Seven classes will do battle on the famous high banks this year. The Factory/IMCA Stocks will be able to run either the 2015 Tri-State Speedway Factory Stock rules or the 2015 IMCA Stock Rules. The TSS Modifieds will run the 2015 USRA Modified rules with the Late Models running basically an open class with a few restrictions, as listed on the flyer. The IMCA Modifieds will run the 2015 IMCA Modified rules while the Sport Mods will be a combination class of WISSOTA Midwest Mods/USRA B-Mods/IMCA Sport Mods (both Northern and Southern) that will run will some restrictions as listed on the flyer.
This year’s event schedule will differ slightly from year’s past. Practice will continue to be on Wednesday night (14th) for all classes. Thursday night (15th) will feature heat racing (qualifying) for all classes, except Late Models. POCOLA, OK (October 3RD, 2015) – Last week’s prediction of the end of summer temps proved to be correct as it was in the mid 70’s at race time and dropped off to the mid 60’s after sunset. Once again, promoter Dan King and his track prep crew had a super smooth five lane track for racing.

The night kicked off after hot laps with trophy presentations and driver interviews for the previous week’s winners on the pass through in front of the grandstands followed by the invocation and a parade lap of the previous winners, as they presented the nation’s colors during the National Anthem.

Heat racing action for the 75 cars on hand was underway at 7:45 PM.

The intermission gave everyone a chance to stretch their legs and get some of the concession food, including $1 hot dogs and some walking tacos plus a Coca-Cola beverage to wash it all down with. It was fan appreciation night on Saturday night and quite a few drivers came up with their cars during intermission for autographs and photo taking with the fans. Several race fans and kids were also the lucky recipients free T-Shirts during the break in racing action.

POCOLA, OK (September 26TH, 2015) – I think we did it! I think we finally broke Mother Nature’s grip on summer and may have finally reached fall at the legendary high banks. Temperatures were in the mid 80’s at race time and quickly dropped off to the mid 70’s after sunset.

The night kicked off after hot laps with the invocation and a live rendition of the National Anthem.

Heat racing action for the 88 cars on hand was underway at 7:40 PM.

The intermission gave everyone a chance to stretch their legs and get some of the concession food, including some of the soon-to-be world famous Menasco BBQ, a walking taco and an ice-cold Coca-Cola beverage to wash it all down with. The trophy presentations for the previous week’s A feature winners (from September 12TH & 19TH, 2015) were up next with interviews, by Brian White, along with photo taking on the pass through in front of the grandstands. Several race fans and kids were also the lucky recipients of track giveaways, including free T-Shirts during the break in racing action
